Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie reflects on the ridiculous bill on 'indecent dressing' in Nigeria. Her reference to immorality in the Nigerian context is particularly interesting to note. When i go on such websites, such as the guardian and the BBC for example; it is interesting to see people's perspectives on general issues under the cover of annonymity. An opportunity to 'let it all out' in a society so burdened by political correctness and false pretense...not that this is non-existent elsewhere. Chimamanda, i would imagine, would laugh till her sides ached if she read the comments that followed. As a foreigner resident in a country inhibited by undercover xenephobic neanderthals, it is admittedly not encouraging to read; however insightful this may be. An issue of morality indeed!
